Y’all this girl is one of the sweetest that you will ever meet and I had the honor of shooting her senior photos! The first time Karlie and I talked about her senior photos was at Thanksgiving. I was just getting started in photography and of course, I offered to do them for her. When she contacted me I was so delighted!
We set the date and got together at Vilas Park for our session during golden hour. The weather was perfect and Karlie thought of everything, down to the last detail. She had a fresh manicure, beautifully done hair and lovely luscious lashes. She paired the cutest shoes with the most put together outfits for her session. A lovely black dress with intricate cut outs and red kitten heels. A jean skirt, coral one shoulder top and black booties. Black distressed denim with a gorgeous eggplant cropped button down sweater top and black booties. (insert heart eyed emoji)
Between locations I confided in her one of my outfit choices, which I thought was so great at the time – my denim skirt paired with a long sleeve henley top and old school three stripe Adidas slides (yikes). I didn’t tell her this but my formal outfit featured classic black old navy flip flops (double yikes). We laughed together at my choices. Serendipitously one of her outfits also featured the cutest AE jean skirt which she expertly paired with a gorgeous one shoulder coral top and sweet black booties.
Y’all, she crushed it!
Karlie had no qualms about following my goofy instruction and all my behind the camera commentary. Her bright, fun and bubbly personality shows through in her photos as well as her excitement for her senior year at Columbus High School. Though this year will be like no year in the past, because we live in a different time, it is sure to be special. Her year is planned to be a hybrid format with some in class instruction as well as online. Neither she or I can believe that time has gone so fast this year and that we are already in September!
