The Midwest is known for its stunning autumn landscapes, and it was the perfect backdrop for our recent family photography session in Columbus, WI. This family of four brought their vibrant personalities and warm smiles to a picturesque outdoor location, creating magical memories that will last a lifetime.

As a family photographer, I always look forward to the fall season in the Midwest. Apart from the rain that comes along with it, the vibrant foliage, crisp air, and golden sunlight create an enchanting atmosphere that’s ideal for capturing precious moments. We chose a beautiful park complete with a walking bridge and wooded area for the session, with colorful leaves carpeting the ground and the warm glow of the setting sun filtering through the trees.

The session began with this lovely family dressed in coordinating earth-toned outfits, perfectly complementing the fall setting. The children’s excitement was palpable as they took photos together, although, it could have been courtesy of the whoopee button I brought with me (it’s sure to get a smile out of even the most serious of kiddos). These candid moments of joy were so fun to capture, reflecting the essence of their family bond.

As a family photographer, my goal is to capture the essence of each family, and this autumn session in the Columbus was a heartwarming testament to the beauty of this season and the bonds that unite us. These images will serve as cherished mementos for this family, a reminder of the joy, love, and laughter that defines their unique family journey in this season of life.

We even managed to capture intimate shots of the parents stealing glances and sharing tender moments. The trees, adorned in fall colors, created a romantic backdrop that added depth and emotion to these special photographs.

I love working with you! It’s such a blessing and a joy to get to capture your sweet family year after year. Sara – It’s so fun to watch our families grow and to stay connected after we developed such a strong bond and friendship in college. They say the friends you make in college last a lifetime and our relationship is certainly a testament to that, for which I am eternally grateful.
