Hey Everyone!
Cheers to the end of 2019 and moving to the next decade! Can anyone else believe that tomorrow begins 2020!!!?? I sure can’t.
I thought that I would share both my #TopNine2019 from my personal Instagram page (@jdubois608) and of course from J.Kellerhuis Photography’s instagram page (@j.kellerhuisphotography)! If you aren’t already, follow both my accounts for alerts to the newest blog posts and little snippets of my life when I’m not doing photography!
What a year!? 2019 was so great to my business.
It will always represent the year that I decided to go for it and establish J.Kellerhuis Photography as an official small business!
I cannot thank everyone enough that reached out to me for sessions and supported me as I was getting started! Without all of you amazing people this top nine would not exist! All of the sessions I have done are so close to my heart and I cannot wait for what 2020 brings! {I’m planning for many more sessions along with blog and social media posts}
A little recap (photos are numbered from Left to Right then Top to Bottom)
Photo 3: My very first engagement session for the lovely Taylor and Aaron who married this past summer! Thank you so much for your trust in me so early on! Congrats on your new home!!
Photo 4: Two of my best friends and the sweetest couple, Tina and Logan, who got engaged this past summer! Love you guys!
Photo 6: Aubrey, a 2020 high school senior! Big things on the horizon here!! We had an awesome dual location session, this photo was taken at Vilas Park!
Photo 8 features a sweet family of five who did a mini with me at the Capitol. So much fun in the sun and lots of laughs!
Photo 9: Wisconsin State Capitol Sister Session. These sisters reached out to me to do a sweet session for their mom for a Christmas gift!! Best idea ever! If any one wants to steal it, I am available starting in 2020 for sessions (wink)
Photo 2: This stud belongs to the sensational mother daughter duo, Rachel and Stella. We had the best time doing this session at Vilas! Check out the blog (Snowy Session at Vilas) for a full recap! Session photos will be added tomorrow!!
And Finally. Photos 1, 5 and 7 are my two babes Royal and Milly. My forever photography subjects – except when they object, which, when the treats are out is not often!
Personally, 2019 is a year that I would describe as really amazing and also really awful. I’ll explain:
So many amazing things happened this year! I married my husband, we bought a house, adopted a puppy, got married again and bought another house, I established my small business!
……but I also lost my mom to cancer.
That’s the horrible part.
She was always one of my biggest supporters and would tell me “you always do good Jen” and more now than then I always strive work to do the best job that I can because that’s what she expects and always knew. I know she is in my corner every moment of the day and will be every step of the way. I am grateful that she was able to be there for our wedding in April (when I told my husband 1 week prior that we needed to get married sooner and he didn’t even bat an eye, he just said “I’m ready, whatever you want, I’ve been ready.” I, of course, wish she could be here for all that’s to come but that’s not the reality. Though this tragedy I have been reminded time and time again of all the amazing people in my life that are there for me always and I was to take a moment to thank them! {Y’all know who you are}.
So it is with tremendous joy, for what the year brought, and simultaneous sadness, for the amazing woman that was lost, I prepare to close the chapter to 2019 and look onto 2020 with all that it will bring!
Looking through back at this top nine. (photos are numbered from left to right then top to bottom)
